To add multiple procedures from which to choose when creating a new log entry, one can use the app itself or use the form on the right to enter the specialty and procedures, then click on the "Create & Download File" button. A file containing those procedures will be created and downloaded to your iPhone (assuming you are using your iPhone to create the file) or your computer (if using your computer) then the file must be imported into the app and can be shared with others.
- Enter the specialty in the first line.
- Enter one procedure per each subsequent line (do not use commas to separate the procedures).
- To enter procedures for more than one specialty, separate the specialties by inserting a line with three or more hyphens (-) followed by a new line containing the name of the next specialty as shown.
- Click the Create & Download File button.
When you click on the "Create & Download File" button, the specialties and their procedures will be sorted in alphabetical order, and a file named "ProceduresToImport.plist" (a type of XML file) will be created and downloaded to your iPhone (or computer if using a desktop/laptop computer). The file is not saved on this web server.
The ProceduresToImport.plist file can be transferred to the app then added to the list of specialties/procedures from which one can choose. To transfer the ProceduresToImport.plist file to the Procedure Log app, use either the iPhone's Files app, iTunes, or the Finder if you're using a Mac running macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or newer.
- After tapping the "Create & Download File" button, the iPhone will ask you whether you want to download the file. Tap "Download."
- Once the file has downloaded, you will see a circle with an arrow icon () at the top right (next to the address bar). Tap on that icon, then tap on the magnifying glass icon. That will open up the Files app and show that the file has been downloaded to your iCloud Drive (or wherever your phone is set to download files to in the iPhone's Settings > Safari > Downloads).
- Tap on the circle with an ellipsis at the top right () and tap on "Select," then select the "ProceduresToImport.plist" file.
- Tap on the folder icon in the middle of the bottom toolbar and navigate to On My iPhone > Procedure Log then tap on "Copy" at the top right. The file is now accessible from within the app.
- You may now delete the file from the downloads folder if you wish.

- In the AirDrop window that is presented, select your iPhone.
- When the file is received by your iPhone, select "Files."

- Open the email on your iPhone.
- Tap and hold on the attached ProceduresToImport.plist file until the pop-up menu appears and select "Share."
- In the share options window, scroll down and select "Save to Files."
- Navigate to On My iPhone > Procedure Log, then tap the Save button at the top right.
- Save the ProceduresToImport.plist file to your iCloud Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, or other file hosting service accessible from the Files app.

Once the ProceduresToImport.plist file has been transferred to the Procedure Log app, the procedures must be imported into the list of procedures from which one can choose by doing the following:
- In the Procedure Log app, go to Settings () > Edit Procedures
- Tap on the import button (—the button at the middle of the bottom toolbar)
- Select the specialty whose procedures you want to import and tap "OK"
- Tap on the Import button at the top right.
By installing the ProceduresToInstall.plist file in this way, the list of specialties/procedures in that file will be used by the app as the list of procedures that can be imported rather than the default list that is available for importing. To access the default list of procedures that can be imported, delete the ProceduresToInstall.plist file that you transferred to the app using either the Files app, iTunes (on Windows PCs or Macs using macOS Mojave or earlier), or the Finder (on macOS Catalina or newer).
